Letter to the past.
Sounds pretty unoriginal, but this is seriously true.
2~3 years back, I was pretty much an introvert. I believed more in minding my own business then reaching out an helping hand whenever I could or being a positive fella.
One day, while boarding the bus to Serangoon, the elderly bus driver greeted me with a bright “Good morning!” He greeted every single passenger as though each of them was an old friend. He greeted every single alighting passenger with a hearty “Have a nice day” too. Everyone departing would at least wave goodbye or greet him back in even Hokkien before they alighted.
It dawned upon me that his bright attitude was making a positive impact on everyone. So right now, I would like to thank him for being the catalyst for my change back then. Right now, at least I daresay I try to be a laugh and crack people up, but without him I would never be that way. I would probably prefer being a quiet geek who sits in his own corner, keeping his head down and pretending that he’s not there, that he can be happy being left all alone on his own.
So yeah. Thank you.

Interesting character – however, this is not a letter. The assignment is “Letter to the Past” and so should be in the form of a letter to this person. I would’ve liked to see a letter to this cheery man – would’ve been really interesting.
